*To teach public school students Biblical morals, values and Ethics for a disciplined life.

*To educate, equip, and support others who want to start an off campus public school bible study program.

The government calls this type of program "Release Time". In 1914 a School Superintendent started religious education classes in Gary Indiana. His idea caught on and quickly spread. At first these classes were held in the school class rooms, but in 1948 they were unfortunately ruled unconstitutional in a case brought before the court by a parent in Champaign Illinois. Later in 1953 the Supreme Court decided the programs were legal if held off school property. Then, in 1962 came the unfortunate ruling that set in motion the havoc we are reaping today…. The Supreme Court ruled Prayer and Bible reading UNCONSTITUTIONAL in the Public School Classrooms. The ruling subsequently stripped our public schools of any resemblance to its Christian beginnings. Since this ruling we have seen a decline in test scores, a rise in teen age pregnancy, violent crime increase, divorce rates increase, more blatant disrespect for parents and authority figures by youth, and an ever increasing disregard for the preservation of private or public property, and Human Life!

Even though prayer and Bible reading were removed from our public schools, (that is, ‘faculty led’ prayer and Bible reading, not prayer and Bible reading done privately by students while in school) we STILL HAVE THE OPTION OF BIBLE STUDY CLASSES OFF SCHOOL GROUNDS! The government calls this option "Release Time". Release Time simply put is a constitutionally permitted program in which every public school child can be released from school for one hour a week to attend Bible Study (if they so choose) at an off campus site during school hours. No student can be intimidated by school faculty to attend or not to attend. Each individual student of his or her own free will decides attendance or non-attendance.

Unfortunately, not many Christians know about this option called Release Time. It is our goal to rectify that fact!
