Reports ToBroadband Operations Manager

 

 

Responsibilities:

-                      Provision, monitor and maintain the various PSC broadband networks.

-                      Provision, monitor and maintain the various PSC servers for Internet services and IPTV middleware.

-                      Install, maintain and upgrade  Windows and Unix servers.

-                      Development of technical support procedures and documentation.

 

 

 

Requirements:

-                      Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.

-                      Proficient with Cisco layer 2/3 Catalyst switches and routers, including  knowledge of Cisco IOS provisioning. 

-                      Must be proficient in IPv4 to include BGP and EIGRP routing.

-                      Experienced in Ethernet transport technologies to include 802.1q, 802.1p and QnQ and VLan Routing.

-                      Experienced in Windows Server and Linux operating systems to include ISP services such as DNS, RADIUS, DHCP, SMTP, POP3, SNMP, HTTP and FTP a plus.

-                      Proficient with hardware firewalls such as the Cisco ASA and/or PIX.

-                      Experienced with IP Multicast routing to include IGMP, and PIM.

-                      Knowledgeable in IPTV systems to include experience with a Middleware, Conditional Access and VOD vendor solution a plus.

-                      Experience with fixed Wireless technologies to include WiFi and WiMAX a plus.

-                      Familiar with IPv6 a plus.

 

Education and Experience:  5 years working in a network provider and/or ISP environment. CCNA and/or  CCNP a plus.

 

Work Hours:   8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  After-hours, weekends and holidays will sometimes be required. On call rotation required.

 

Special Requirements:  Must be able to drive a vehicle, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, walk and stand,  all for various amounts of time.
