About Us

We got married in 1985 and not long after that we bought our first miniature horse. At the time we were assuming that it was just going to be a pet, however you know how the saying goes you can’t have just one. And here we are 21 years later.

We named our farm River Wind Farm after many hours of thinking. What would be a good name for the lay of the land and where it was located. Since the day we bought this old farm we realized that we always had a beautiful breeze blowing most of the time. Since it is so close to the river, it only seemed right for my pen to write River Wind Farm, it seemed just perfect.

By July you can hardly see our farm, since it is in the middle of two 50 acre corn fields. It is like a big privacy fence around us, but the wind still finds a way to blow.
