September 11, 2000:    A rainy night, and a momentous night for some. 
The event:    The Annual Club Election   
After months of electioneering, new officers are finally selected.   
A full slate of candidates with a wide range of experience toughened the choice for
voting members present. 

Recount after recount after recount !  After every swinging chad was evaluated . . . .

A new President, Vice-President and Treasurer are selected:    Rick Fortune as President, Alan Painter as Vice President, and Brenda Payne as Treasurer.   

The Office of Secretary was taken by Janey Hayden. 

Bruce Bemis remains as Riverfront Chairman, and Steve Thomas rounds out the board as the new Membership Chairman.

Best of luck to the new administration.  There are many many challenges for the club
in the coming year, some of which may even challenge our very existence.

We only hope prudence, common sense and wise counsel prevail in the many tough decisions to be made in the next few months.  Again, Good luck to the new officers.
