"Reunion" may not quite seem like the right word to use. After all, most of us who are descendants of Joseph and Polly Wilhite have never met many of our distant cousins. How can we hold a reunion of people who have never met before?

Perhaps a Gathering of Wilhite Clan would be a better term for the first reunion. Our goal, however, is to pull together this long separated cluster of families and provide all members with a large perspective on their own family histories. Reunion may not seem to fit the first gathering of this clan, but our goal is to eventually re-unite all the members of this extended family group.
